  • 2-way pneumatic ball valves have 2 ports, an inlet and an outlet. The media flows from one direction to the other and the valve is used to open or close the flow. A 2-way ball valve is commonly called a shut off valve.
Pneumatic Acuated

A pneumatic actuated ball valve can be broken down into two main components. The pneumatic actuator and the ball valve. For a 2-way ball valve, the pneumatic actuator can turn the ball 90 degrees to be either fully open or fully closed. For a 3-way valve, the pneumatic actuator can turn the ball between different circuits depending if it is an L-port or T-port ball valve. They are mounted together typically with a standard flange adhereing to ISO 5211. This allows both the pneumatic actuator or ball valve to be swapped out with another one using the same flange size.

A pneumatic actuator requires compressed air to operate. The actuator can either be single or double acting. A single acting pneumatic actuator uses compressed air to rotate the ball in one direction and uses a spring to move it back to the normal position. A double acting pneumatic actuator requires compressed air to move the ball in either direction. An air actuated ball valve is a reliable solution and often a lower investment cost for larger valves compared to an electric ball valve. "FOCET" MAKE JACKETED BALL VALVE
 The jacket covers the body from one flange to the other flange. The body is modified by adding oversize flanges. As example: 2″ x 3″ Jacketed Ball Valve has the nominal bore of 2″ (DN 50) and the flange size is 3″(DN 80). It allows enough space for bolting clearance.

The Jackets assure consistent valve Heating or Cooling of the process media to prevent crystallization or seizing of flow media. The Jacketed Ball Valve (Heating Jacket Ball Valve) with very well design to help the high temperature steam or oil flow over the valve ball & body parts to keep the media liquid. This applies especially to media like bitumen and liquid sulfur. In addition, the efficient flow of media is ensured through the elimination of pockets.

Generally standard Jacketed Ball Valves are delivered in carbon steel and different types of stainless steel materials. Other special materials are available upon special request.
